The AHD-BL25 is a wide angle security camera (180 degree security camera) with built-in infrared night vision. This is a 1080p HD CCTV camera (AHD format) that can be used for indoor and outdoor video surveillance systems because the housing is weatherproof. The 2.5mm fisheye lens captures a 180 degree field of view (170 degree effective range).

This high definition surveillance camera can provide a complete overview of small to medium sized rooms. The 180 degree / ultra wide angle view and the fact that the camera is IP66 weatherproof rated also make it a great choice to monitor exterior entrances at very close quarters. This camera can capture video in normal, low light and zero light conditions. The tri-axis bracket allows installers to ceiling to wall mount the camera and angle the lens in any direction.

This camera is typically connected to a surveillance DVR by hard wiring it using the same RG-59 or RG6 coaxial cable that is used for analog CCTV cameras.

IMPORTANT NOTE: AHD cameras are compatible only with AHD CCTV DVRs.

180 Degree Security Camera Photos

The above image was captured using the AHD-BL25. The camera is mounted in a medium sized room at CCTV Camera Pros office in West Palm Beach, Florida. This room is 29 feet wide by 16 feet deep. All of the lights are on in the room so that the camera is operating in daytime / color mode.

Here is another image captured by the AHD-BL25. Mike is positioned directly below the camera to show-off the ultra wide angle that this fish-eye lens provides. It is slightly less than 180 degrees but not by much. You will notice there is a small section of the room cutoff on the right size. The effective angle of the lens is actually 170 degrees. As with most 180 degree security cameras, it is slightly less than true 180 degrees.

Infrared Surveillance

Here is an infrared surveillance image captured by the AHD-BL25. Mike is positioned about 6 feet in front of the camera. All of the lights are off in the room. There is a small amount of ambient light from our fire exit signs at the exit of our front door.

Camera Installation

This photo shows where we mounted the AHD-BL25 to the ceiling on our sales floor at our office. You can see the camera on the left hand side of the ceiling.

iPhone App View

In our testing, we connected our AHD-BL25 to an iDVR-PRO HD DVR. In addition to providing a recording platform, the iDVR-PRO lets users login from remotely over the Internet to view the camera live. The below image was captured while viewing the camera while the iDVR-PRO Viewer app for iPhone.

Android Mobile App Viewing

These images were captured while using the iDVR-PRO Viewer mobile app for Android. The camera is still connected to the iDVR-PRO16M at our office and we are accessing the DVR using WIFI on our demo network. This works the same as viewing the camera from remotely over the Internet.
