The Vivotek IP8160-W is a compact wireless cube camera that features Smart IR Technology, which allows the infrared LEDs to automatically dim and brighten to prevent the image from whiting out when objects get too close. The maximum range for the IR LEDs is 8 meter / 24 feet. The Vivotek IP8160-W can record in 1920 x 1080 (1080P) HD resolution at 30 frames per second.

This camera has a 2 Megapixel CMOS image sensor and a fixed 2.8mm lens, which provides the user with a wide 113° horizontal angle of view. The IP8160-W supports two-way audio with the built-in microphone and speaker to give the user more usable content in the event that an incident occurs. It is solely powered by 5V-DC and uses the IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliance for wireless connection to a router.

A Micro SD/SDHC/SDXC Card Slot allows the user to record video clips and snapshots locally. The IP8160-W is accessible from a number of devices including iPhone, iPad, and PC web browsers. Like all Vivotek cameras, the IP8160-W includes a 32 channel Vivotek central management software.
