The IP-AV95105DN is part of CCTV Camera Pros line of mega-pixel security cameras. It is a fully compliant H.264 (MJPEG, Part 10) implementation by Arecont Vision. It is capable of sustaining full motion progressive scan at a 2592 X 1944 resolution at 9 frames per second (approximately 1/3 real time). This 5 megapixel security camera also boasts bandwidth and storage efficiency up to 10 times greater than many of the comparable megapixel security cameras on the market.

When to Use a Megapixel Security Camera

The IP-AV95105 megapixel security camera is suitable in really demanding situations where you need to be able to identify persons or objects in a scene. This could be point-of-sales monitoring where it is necessary to clearly see every item a customer is purchasing, or situations where you need to be able to identify a face. Casino surveillance and license plate recognition are also applicable. High detail images can be achieved by installing a network camera with a telescopic lens or a lens with zoom capability to allow a closer view of the area of interest. Using a megapixel IP network camera in all such cases will provide even higher resolution images with more details than a non-megapixel network camera.
