The Geovision GV-EVD5100 HD outdoor IP dome camera features an
IP67 / IK10 outdoor rated enclosure to protect the vital components of the camera from harsh weather, dust, humidity and acts of vandalism. The Geovision GV-EVD5100 includes a
3 ~ 9mm Varifocal Lens, which allows the installers to dial in the perfect viewing angle, and a 1/3.2" CMOS image sensor, providing a recording resolution of 2592 x 1944 (5 Megapixel) at up to 30 frames per second.
This camera has exceptional low light capabilities with a
color lux rating of 0.12 and a black & white lux rating of 0.10. For environments with little or no light, the GV-EVD5100 features Infrared LEDs with an effective range of 30 meters / 90 feet, allowing the camera to continue monitoring the area . A Removable IR Cut Filter further enhances the image quality by blocking the unusable infrared lighting and only allowing the visible light to pass through.
The GV-EVD5100 includes
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Enhancement, which enhances the image quality in environments with challenging lighting conditions (Such as ultra bright or dark back lighting). It works by combing the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create one highly detailed image.
This camera can be powered by either the included
12V-DC power adapter or by POE (Power over Ethernet) 802.3af. The POE feature allows the installer to run both data and power over one CAT5-E cable, however this will require a POE compliant network switch or injector. The 3 axis mounting mechanism allows the user to mount to either a wall or ceiling with ease.
Please Note: The GV-EVD5100 can NOT
be used with pre-terminated Cat-5E cable due to housing size
constraints; it must be used with Cat-5E cables that do not have the
outer jacket, as
shown here.
The GV-EVD5100 includes a 32 channel central management software with a multitude of features and is remotely viewable from PC's,
iPhone, iPad, Android and 3GPP mobile devices.

Remote Viewing Support
Geovision includes many options to view your cameras remotely over a local network and also remotely over the Internet. Remote viewing is supported by both Windows and Mac based PCs.
Geovision also includes support to view cameras from cell phones and other mobile devices including: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian, and other 3G / 3GPP cell phones. Geovision provides free apps for all of these types of devices.

PoE for IP Camera
This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
