The DPRO-AS600 is a vandal-proof CCTV camera in an outdoor weatherproof dome housing. The DPRO-AS600 supports day and night surveillance without the use of built-in infrared LEDs, by allowing the vandal dome to automatically switch to a black and white mode, engage its IR cut filter, and use the built in SENS-up intensifier functionality.
Take a look at these
sample surveillance images and demo videos captured using this camera in day and night modes.
The 1/3” Sony Super HAD CCD II supports 650 TV line of resolution, 0.1 Lux in color and 0.01 Lux in black and white night mode (without the use of IR). The DPRO-AS600 comes with a 2.8mm - 12mm varifocal lens which allows one to adjust the field of view angle, more narrow when zoomed in, or wider when lens is zoomed out.
The on screen display (OSD) built into the AS600 is accessed via a small joystick behind the lens and allows one to adjust settings such as: 2D digital noise reduction, DC iris control, back light compensation, and WDR (wide dynamic range).
The durable metal base and high impact plastic dome make this dome camera vandal proof and weatherproof. The 3-axis mount makes it easy to install this camera on a ceiling or a wall.
This camera is an excellent choice for indoor or outdoor video surveillance applications where low light surveillance is needed without the use of infrared technology, the DPRO-AS600 also comes with the peace of mind knowing that your camera is weather and vandal proof. This video demonstrates the normal light and low light capability of the DPRO-AS600. The camera used in this video is mounted on the front of a house and used to monitor the walkway that leads from the driveway to the front door. The area is partially lit at night from the coach light on the garage. You can
see pictures of this camera installation here.
Important Note: Click the gear icon in the lower right of the video player and select 720p resolution.
Color Day Mode Snapshot
The following snapshots were taken using the DPRO-AS600 in a room of our office that measures 13 feet wide by 21 feet long. The life sized cardboard cutout people were positioned 10 feet away from the camera and the camera is mounted 7.5 feet off the ground. This first image was captured with the lights turned on and the camera is in day time color mode.
Low Light Surveillance Mode
This second image was captured with all of the lights turned off in the office. There is minimal ambient light being supplied from the two computer monitors that are turned on and the door is 1/3 open so light is coming in slightly from the hallway. This sample image demonstrates how well the camera performs in low light
without the use of infrared LEDs.
Here are two additional photos captured using a DPRO-AS600. This camera is part of this
home surveillance system and it is used to monitor part of the front yard of a house in West Palm Beach, Florida.
This first photo was captured during the day in normal outdoor lighting conditions.
This second photo was captured at night. The only light being supplied to the front yard is from the garage coach light that the camera is mounted above. No infrared is being used and the color stays in color mode when this amount of light is available.
Commercial Office Building Installation
The following photos show the DPRO-AS600 cameras that are mounted on CCTV Camera Pros warehouse in West Palm Beach, Florida. We chose the DPRO-AS600 for the front of our building for a number of reasons.
- Our parking lot is lit, so we do not need infrared cameras.
- We wanted the cameras to look aesthetically pleasing. The flush wall mount of these cameras looks great.
- We wanted to use vandal-proof cameras so that our video surveillance could not be tampered with.
